SUBJECT: A major European contract decorator, producing both ceramic mugs and glass tumblers, using a wide range of semi automatic multi-colour machines.

THE PROBLEM: Screen life averaged 7 to 10,000 pieces. Screen changes slow and colour to colour registration was very inconsistent.

THE SOLUTION: The Kwik Change Screen System was fitted initially to the glass tumbler printing machines and later to the ceramic mug printing machines.

THE RESULTS: Screen life immediately increased to an average of 32,000 pieces with some screens achieving nearly 40,000. Screen costs were reduced by 72% and screen preparation time reduced by 75%. Screen changes now take only about 2 minutes compared with up to 15 minutes previously. All prints are now in near perfect register and misprints virtually eliminated.
