SUBJECT: New decorating facility built by an established European glass tableware supplier and decorator. The group has been established as a leading supplier for many years and has 13 fully automatic decorating machines giving up to 8 colours. The new plant was established with one 6 colour machine and locally recruited staff.

THE PROBLEM: There was neither a screen preparation facility or the skills to make screens. The parent company sent fully prepared screens made on wooden frames. Screen tension was very poor and screen life and performance was considerably below the capabilities of the machine.

THE SOLUTION: The Kwik Change Screen System was introduced over a period of one month and, at the same time, a screen room was constructed and supplied with G G Cade equipment. Full training was given in all screen preparation processes.

THE RESULTS: Print quality is excellent and screen life greatly exceeds that of the parent company. It is probable that the Kwik Change Screen System will be introduced throughout the group.
