To ensure print consistency and high quality are achieved with Thermoplastic and Cold Paste Enamel Inks, the choice of Stainless Steel Printing Fabric is paramount.

Our standard range of Stainless Steel Printing Fabrics are 304 grade and are carefully quality controlled for:

  • Aperture
  • Wire Thickness
  • Wire Composition
  • Residual Stress
  • Fabric Thickness

All fabrics exhibit exceptional qualities of strength and tolerance to the extremes of working conditions.

The fabrics give top quality performance and an exceptionally long working life.

Standard products cover the range 80 mesh (224 microns aperture x 100 microns wire thickness) to 510 mesh (25 microns aperture x 25 microns wire thickness) but we can offer fabrics of almost any specification from 1.3 mesh to 635 mesh.

Standard rolls are 122cm (48 inches) wide and nominally 30 metres (98 feet) long although other widths and lengths are available to order.

Apart from offering full rolls of fabrics, we can also offer pre-cut pieces to customer requirements and pre-formed shapes for special screens.

The following list (Table 1) covers the basic range of fabrics used in the printing of enamel inks. Other combinations of wire diameter and aperture are available on request or at the recommendation of our Decorating Technologists to suit special applications.

We can also offer calendered and twilled fabrics if required (see Table 2) and fabrics in other metals such as phosphor bronze, brass, tinned or galvanised steel and stainless steel 316.
