TABLE TOP EXPOSURE UNIT The most recent development in high efficiency exposure systems is the Table Top Exposure Unit. It is a fully integrated exposure unit designed for screen frames and exposure jigs up to 63 x 48 cm (Model 1) or 100 x 63 cm (Model 2). The light source is a 400/1600 watt Metal Halide Lamp which is controlled by an automatic shutter. Light frequency is controlled to 420 to 365 nanometres making it suitable for both screen printing stencils and daylight film. The control system includes a Digital Readout Light Integrator which automatically compensates for the natural ageing of the Metal Halide Lamp. This unit is coupled to the process timer to give optimum lamp usage efficiency. All main components are housed in the top of the unit behind the control panel. This includes the filtered viewing light which provides light for positioning the screen. A hinged metal front panel ensures safe operation. Standard models do not employ vacuum exposure frames as they are primarily designed for use with the Kwik Change Screen System. However, vacuum frames are available for both models. Both units are suitable for bench mounting or floor mounting with the optional box section Steel Stand. They can also be mounted on the appropriate Drying Cabinet or Light Proof Screen Storage Cabinet.
